A certain German legend has Inspired many great writers, musicians, and other artists; in fact, there are hundreds or thousands of variations on this one particular theme in theater, music, film, poetry, art, and literature. 

Here is one pipe carver's attempt to capture, in meerschaum, a principal character in this legend. Handsomely carved, this 6.25"-long cheroot holder exudes sheer elegance in a streamlined rendition of a demon,


Satan, the devil's infernal representative, Mephistopheles, in the legend of Faust (or Faustus).

Note the delicate amber floral connector to the red amber mouthpiece, an added artful accent!
